Para começar a falar sobre música latina tenho que citar Júlio Iglesias, pois é o grande responsável pelo 'estouro' dela!!!

Bom, passando por Alejandro Sanz, Enrique Iglesias, Shakira, Lena... ficaria aquí citando vários nomes deste

mercado romântico e sensual, sempre falando de amores e desilusões.

Neste post quero frizar a trilha do filme "Habana Blues", a trilha sonora se encaixa perfeitamente... tratasse de  fiel realidade, a qual o músio Cubano vive, visto que sofrem com o regime da ditadura, mas vivem felizes através da música, que se tornou grande refúgio da realidade desse pais.

Tive uma experiência no Caribe Venezuelano, que é bem parecido, mas desta vez não fui tocar, mas sim velejar(amo Windsurf!), e lá encontrei com alunos de universidades, que tal como em Cuba, aproveitam as horas livres para dançar ao som da salsa. Acabei aderindo. Inesquecível!

Poderia falar de Carlos Santana, mas dele não se fala, se ouve.  

To began talking about latin music I got mention Júlio Iglesias, which is the first responsible for the huge success of this swing style!!!

 Well, walking through Alejandro Sanz, Enrique Iglesias, Shakira, Lena...I could stay here, quoting so many names of this romantic and sexy kind of music, always talking about love and desilusions.

In this post I want to quote the "Habana Blues" sound track, which matchs perfectly... the film is about the true reality that the Cubans singers, cause they live under a ditatorial regime of government, but using their music as an scape to the reality of the country. 

 I got an experience on the Venezuelan Caribean, which is very similar to Cuba, not to play guitar, but to sail(love windsurf!), and there I found some university guys, that like to spend a time dancing some salsa. I give up, and dance, too!

I also could mention Carlos Santana, but we don't talk about him, we listen to.

Composição sem preconceito

 Composição é a arte de criar seja lá como for . . .

Sempre ví a composição como uma forma de se expressar; Por isso, nunca irei menosprezar os compositores que fazem suas músicas com o maior carinho e são julgados por elas. 

Infelizmente ou não, cada um tem sua arte de compôr. Quero citar Rogério Skylab, Tom Zé entre outros grandes poetas, cada um em seu jeito e arte. . . .

"Matador de Passarinho" pra mim é coisa de gênio . . . Com sua irreverência, Skylab veio de mancinho conquistando a todos com esta música e hoje faz shows fora do Brasil.

Mc Leozinho foi um fenômeno de vendas com "Se ela dança eu danço" no verão de 2006, entre outros que vieram com sua arte.

Vamos combinar o seguinte: seja qual for o seu jeito de compôr, temos que baixar a cabeça e respeitar, pois é inspiração e foi criada com o mesmo carinho típico de todos que compõem.

Seja você mesmo! Deixem que lhe chamem de piegas, brega, ou maluco, mas continuem criando . . . Quem faz seu estilo é você mesmo, e não esta crítica marrom da imprensa!

Composition is the art of to create, whatever you do . . .

I always saw the composition as a form to express yourself; For that reason, I'll never underestimate the composers, that made theirs musics with lots of careful, to be sentenced by them.

Unfortunately or not, each one has your kind of art to compose. I want to mention Rogério Skylab, Tom Zé, besides others great poets, each one with your kind of art and style.

"Matador de passarinho" to me, is a genius thing . . . With her irreverence, Skylab came so slowly getting a place on the music scene, and, nowadays, he's making shows all over the world.

Mc Leozinho was a great sale phenomenon in the summer of 2006, among others that came with your sense of art.

Let's combine the following: whatever you compose, let's keep our head lower and respect, cause it's inspiration and had been create with the same careful as all the composers do.

Just be you! Let them call you a crazy or corny, but keep doing . . . You make your own style, not this tabloids!

Congratulations for everybody that puts your faces on the game, and hold on strongly!

"Je t'aime Paris"

"Je t'aime Paris". . . Começo este post falando de Edith Piaf, ela marcou o início da música francesa no mundo com "Nom, Je ne regrette rien"; Algum tempo depois veio Charles Aznavour com "She" . . . até este momento a França era super xenofóbica em relação á sua música.

Nos anos 60, os Franceses começaram a ouvir falar do movimento Brasileiro chamado Bossa Nova, e entenderam que teriam que abrir seu mercado para o mundo. . . Bom, foi onde eles tornaram o Jazz universal.

Os anos 80 foi marcado por muita influência das músicas Africanas como o reggae, e a Espanhola com os Gipsy King e o sucesso Francês "Volare"... Eu estava lá este ano, e pude notar o movimento do Jazz.

Hoje vejo o Jazz movimentando muito, dando uma chacoalhada na música Francesa!

O "Paris Jazz Festival' era realmente o que faltava para uma reviravolta Francesa, abrindo para os maiores nomes da música mundial mostrarem seu trabalho para o país.

Carla Bruni veio com seu charme e sua voz sexy, fazer o caminho inverso, levar a música Francesa de volta para o mundo, sendo primeira-dama e modelo famosa, tem a chance de quebrar um pouco com o velho estilo tradicionalista Francês, não só na esfera musical.

Vive la France!

"Je t'aime Paris" . . . I began this post talking about Edith Piaf, She's the first responsible person of leading the Franch music to the world with "Nom, Je ne regrette rien"; Sometime later came Charles Aznavour with "She". . . since than in France, there were completely xenophobic about their music.

 At about the 60's, the Franchs began to know about a Brazilian movement called 'Bossa Nova', and they start to get the idea of opening theirselves to the world market music . . .Well, so they become the Jazz, universal.

 The 80's were marked for a very strong African influence with the reggae music, and also with some Spanish style with the Gipsy King and their success "Volare" . . . I was there this year, and I could notice an expressive Jazz movement, too.

Nowadays I see the Jazz music doing a lot for Franch Music, really swinging on! 

The "Paris Jazz Festival' was really the missing point to Franch music turn around and opened the country to some great names of the mundial music market, an opportunity to show new faces, names and musics to France. 

Carla Bruni came with her charm and sexy voice, made the opposite way, carry on the Franch music back to the world; being the first lady and also a great model, gives her a chance to change the old tadicional Franch style, not just in the music sphere.

Vive la France! 

Bossa Nova e Tropicália

Desta vez vou citar os maiores movimentos que aconteceram no cenário da música Brasileira, os responsáveis pela nova cara e por um novo estilo musical: a Bossa Nova e a Tropicália. 

A Bossa Nova surgiu no final dos anos 50, início dos anos 60, e foi o grande 'start' que a música Brasileira deu para alçar vôos pelo mundo afora.

A Tropicália surgiu pouco depois, no final dos anos 60, início dos anos 70 com o AI5, ato inconstitucional imposto pelo governo, que delegava poderes extraordinários ao Presidente da República e, ao mesmo tempo, suspendia várias garantias constitucionais, era a Ditadura.

Tive três experiências bacanas com a nossa Bossa...

Uma em Paris, no bairro do 'Pigalle', onde fui comprar um violão em um 'Luthier'(pessoa que constrói um instrumento manualmente) famoso por lá, e comecei a testar o violão tocando "Corcovado"(Tom Jobim), quando levantei minha cabeça, estava rodeado de Franceses pedindo para tocar mais 1000000 rsrsrs...

A segunda foi em Nova Iorque, no famoso bairro do 'Village', onde minha carteira da OMB(Ordem dos Músicos do Brasil) valia mais que meu passaporte, bom... fui ao 'Blue Note' assistir ao show da 'Rosa Passos', quando fui chamado para dar uma canja, logo a gerente veio até mim e lembrou de quando eu havia tocado lá em 1987, haja lembança, mas não porque sou mais um músico, e sim, um músico Brasileiro.

A terceira foi tocar todas as quintas-feiras no prédio da 'ONU' em Manhatttan, N.Y., era sempre uma festa para todos os funcionários de la´.

VIVA A BOSSA NOVA!!! 

This time I'll quote one of the large movements that happened on the scene of the Brazilian music: The New Bossa and the Tropicalism. 

 The New Bossa appeared in the end of the 50's, beggining of the 60's, and it was the great start for Brazilian music, to fly away around the world.

The Tropicalism came up on the scene shortly after, in the end of the 60's, beggining of the 70's with the AI5, an inconstitucional act imposed by the goverment, which consisted in to give more privileges and powers to the President of the Republic, and at the same time, suspended a large numbers of constitucionals garantees, it was the Dictatorship.

I had three amaysing experiences with our Bossa...

One in Paris, on 'Pigalle' neighborhood,where I had bought a guitar by a 'Luthier'(person that constructs handmade an instrument) very famous there, and I start to play my guitar with "Corcovado"(Tom Jobim), and whem I looked up my head, I could see a great number of Frenchs asking for 100000 more rsrsrs...

The second one was in New York, on the famous neighborhood of 'Village, where my OMB Porfolio (Brazilian Order of Musicians)had more values than my passport, well... I came to the 'Blue Note' to see 'Rosa Passos' show, whem I suddenly had being called to play just for a little while, and as soon as possible the manager came to me, reminding me that I had played there in 1987, what a fabulous memory, and I dare to say that it's not because I'm a musician, but a Brazilian one.

The third experience was to play every thursday on the ONU's building in Manhattan, N.Y., it was always a party for the hole team of officials there.
